Where I am comming from...

There are 2 things (of relevance to the subject) that I have worked on before:

- This submission to the Mozilla's (stand-alone calendar project) Sunbird logo contest which I lost. (unfavorably comparing GTK to Qt platforms probably didn't help. Oops)



- "Centurion" clock theme for StyleClock for KDE.



The "accomplishments" in no way make me a man of influence in the world of art, but just show that I put sufficient thought into the problem of graphical representation of time management software and acted upon it.

This time around, Kontact is looking for a new logo - something I wanted to push for for a long time. But, being burned by the Sunbird logo experience (where my push for a new logo turned into bloddy battle), now I was very hesitant to make a 1st pip. Thx to kde-artists.org's call for a new logo, now I don't have to wake up the sleepy giant and hope he has an artistic inclanation.

- Hmmm. The announcement of the prize will probably just muddy the water. :(
